Our Story
God's Healing Warriors didn't begin in a classroom. It began in a dialysis chair — in the fear, the waiting, and the faith that refused to let go even when everything else did.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
— Psalm 147:3
Meet Your Coach
In December of 2023, I received a diagnosis that stopped my world: end stage renal disease. I know what it feels like to sit in a doctor's office and hear words that rewrite your entire future in an instant. I know the fear, the grief, and the desperate, silent prayer — God, are you still there?
For about six months, I went to an in-center dialysis clinic three times a week. I sat in that chair and watched the machine do what my kidneys no longer could. It was humbling, exhausting, and at times, deeply isolating. But it was also where I learned to be still — and to let God be God.
I eventually transitioned to home hemodialysis, which brought a new kind of freedom — and revealed the depth of a love I will never be able to fully repay. Sue was the rock of that season. She did most of the work. She learned the equipment, ran the treatments, kept watch, and never once made me feel like a burden. While I was the patient, she was the warrior standing beside me every single day.
Sue's gift is the living definition of grace — unearned, sacrificial, life-giving. It changed everything. And it showed me that God's healing often comes through the people He places beside us. That is the heart of God's Healing Warriors: you were not made to walk this alone.
The Faith Journey
There is a particular kind of spiritual crisis that comes with a life-altering diagnosis. It's not just the physical reality — it's the questions that surface in the quiet moments. Why is this happening? Where is God in this machine, this chair, this waiting? I asked every one of those questions.
What I discovered is that God doesn't flinch at our raw, desperate prayers. He was with me in the dialysis center. He was with me at home, learning to run my own treatments. He was with me in the operating room when Sue's kidney became mine. And He is with you — right now, in whatever valley you are walking through.
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
— 2 Corinthians 12:9
A Living Testimony
My wife Sue gave me one of her kidneys. Let that sink in. She looked at my suffering, and without hesitation, she said: take part of me. That is not just love — that is grace in its purest, most tangible form.
Sue's sacrifice is the reason God's Healing Warriors exists. It showed me that healing is rarely a solo journey. God places people in our lives — warriors who walk beside us, who carry us when we can't carry ourselves. My calling is to be that person for you.
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."
— John 15:13
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."
Psalm 23:4
What We Believe
No matter how invisible your illness makes you feel, God sees every moment of your suffering — and so do we. You will never be dismissed or minimized here.
Your doubts, your anger at God, your theological questions — all of it is welcome. Real faith isn't the absence of struggle; it's the courage to bring the struggle to God.
Chronic illness is not the final chapter. We believe God is still writing your story, and the most powerful pages may be the ones you haven't lived yet.
Every coaching session is grounded in the truth of God's Word — not as a platitude, but as a living, breathing source of strength and direction for your specific journey.
A free discovery call is the first step. No pressure, no commitment — just a sacred conversation about where you are and where God might be leading you.
